I’m going to bed.
There is only so much you can take before you start to get overwhelmed. I’ve watched way too many programmes about the horrors of humanity and the ill treatment of others and the lack of equality tonight. Way too many and it’s made me really fucking sad.
What happened to the people in the holocaust will always upset me, I will always get a lump in my throat. It never should have happened. Yet things like this still do. Unreported world is the best series going because it gives us access to these issues and horrors going on. I knew before that I wanted to help people when I finish uni but now I’m adamant that’s what I’ll do.
I know I’m only small and average but I can actually make a difference, I have so much love and care and protection to give. So, understandably, I’m really quite excited to find that my local Specials Police force are recruiting again in September. Not only that, David, a friend of the family, has invited me to go out in the police car with him soon. And I’m sorting out a voluntary position at the prison.
I may be lazy sometimes and I may not have the most powerful drive. But I get things done and I get where I want to be. Definitely on the right track.
